At Odyssey Logistics, Marissa Murphy helps coordinate benefits enrollment for employees across 19 different business units. Each year, getting the word out to their thousands of employees about what different benefits are available to whom and the deadline to enroll can be a highly difficult task.
"We use to only utilize email as our means of communication to educate our employees about upcoming events including Open Enrollment. However, given our population, which includes truck drivers who are on the road almost 24/7 and many employees without access to email, this made getting the information across very difficult. Our Solution
Odyssey Logistics already had a full database of their employees' contact information, which they were able to compliantly upload into Trum·pia with the help of their dedicated account manager. Using that information, Odyssey Logistics sends mass text messages to their employees. They also include a link that goes to a webpage with more details. They are even able to target benefit announcements to 4 separate sets of employment benefit groups, each with different benefits information and deadlines. Lastly, as the different deadlines approach, Odyssey Logistics is able to send a final reminder telling their employees that "this is the last day to enroll".
